Idaho girl stabbed ‘all over’

A 12-year-old girl was found late Wednesday with stab wounds “all over” her body, said Shoshone County Sheriff Chuck Reynalds.

Deputies were searching for the girl’s father, who was recently released from a Colorado prison on a rape charge.

The girl was found in the Lost Creek drainage north of Wallace by the side of a road with multiple stab wounds, Reynalds said. She was taken by helicopter to Kootenai Medical Center.

Investigators are looking for John Rollins Tuggle, 37, who had taken his daughter on a camping trip. Tuggle is 6 feet and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

He likely is driving a red Ford Escort with a Colorado plate number 329 JXG. Anyone who sees the car is asked to call 911; call (208) 556-1983 with tips.

The girl, of Athol, was found in the brush by people looking for a campsite who said they heard her yell.
