Sandpoint Artwalk has taste for every palette

The second downtown Sandpoint Artwalk kicks off Friday with more than 20 gallery spaces showcasing the work of leading Inland Northwest artists and crafters.

One of those artists, painter Terry Lee of Coeur d’Alene, is showing his expressive oil paintings in the Art Works Gallery.

Lee paints in a bold, energetic style influenced by early 20th century Fauvist artists Henri Matisse, Henry Manguin and Eugene de Mathan. Lee fills his canvases with pulsating oranges, cobalt blues, purples and yellows.

Opening receptions for all the galleries are on Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The work will be up through Labor Day weekend.
