Saturday event at Museum looks at Valley, library history

The Spokane Valley Heritage Museum and the Spokane County Library District will reflect on the history of the Valley and its library branch at an event Saturday.

The Valley branch celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Museum and district staff will discuss local history, display artifacts and share stories about the library and its role in the community.

Local-history author Florence Boutwell will have copies of her books available for purchase.

The event starts at 3 p.m. at the library, 12004 E. Main Ave. For more information, call 926-6283.
