Show us your Peeps treat as art

The Spokesman-Review

It’s time for the first ever Spokesman-Review Marshmallow Peeps as Art Contest.

In the great Spokane tradition of art walks and craft stores, MAC shows and galleries, we’re challenging our readers to use the traditional sugary Easter treat as an artistic medium rather than merely a snack. Join in the fun and cast the marshmallow chicks and rabbits in any tableau you can come up with: a historical event, as your favorite sports team, the characters on a TV show or the stars on a movie set – in other words, any way you can imagine.

To enter, send us a photograph of your Peeps – doing whatever it is they do – along with a brief description, your name, town and a daytime telephone number. The mail address is: The Spokesman-Review, Features Department, 999 W. Riverside Avenue, Spokane, WA 99201. Mark the envelope Peeps in Art.

You can also submit via e-mail to: features@spokesman.com – please put ‘Peeps’ in the subject line. Include the above information and a jpeg picture of your creation.

Only one entry per person.

Entries are due in the Features Department by Friday, March 18.

Please don’t eat your creations. In order to win, we’ll ask you to bring in the original creation so we can admire and photograph it. Winners will be published on April 3 and treated to Easter brunch.
