Barber has been charged with five counts of child abuse in connection with the severe injuries suffered by his girlfriend’s toddler while he was baby-sitting.

The boy suffered bleeding and swelling of his brain, a bruised liver and a bite mark on his shoulder, according to the Deseret Morning News in Salt Lake City. The alleged victim may not survive his injuries, Spokane police said.

Barber is 5 feet 9 and 170 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and has several tattoos on his arms.

Barber is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should call 911.

Dust storm closes I-90

About 14 miles of Interstate 90 near Ritzville were closed for about an hour and a half Saturday morning after a dust storm caused multiple collisions and greatly reduced visibility.

Lanes were blocked at Ritzville and 14 miles west of the town starting about 10:10 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported. Lanes were reopened after collisions were cleared and winds died down.
