U.S. Bank Home Mortgage has hired Rick Dahmen. He will be responsible for new residential and construction mortgages and refinancing and previously worked at Action Mortgage Company/Sterling Savings Bank.

Traves Wisslead has been hired at Spokane Vision, inside the Spokane Valley Wal-Mart, as an optometric assistant. He has served in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer and has three years of experience in the optical field.

Jill Treacy of the Bill Richard Real Estate Group in Spokane, has earned the Accredited Staging Professional designation.

Kellie Yates has received the President’s Performance Council Award from Sterling Savings Bank. She has over 25 years of banking experience and is vice president and banking officer at Sterling Savings.

Coffman Engineers performed the structural engineering for Cutler Anderson Architects’ Long residence, which received an Award of Merit for Washington architecture from the Seattle Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Downtown Honda has received the Honda President’s Award for excellence in customer satisfaction, service and sales in 2004.

Dennis Parent has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Western Forestry and Conservation Association. Parent is forest operations manager for Inland Empire Paper Company.

United Parcel Service has awarded Paula Kopczynski, the owner of Opportunity Industries, the Vendor of the Year Award. She received this award in a ceremony that celebrated women-owned businesses.

Newport Equipment Enterprises has been recognized by Stimson Lumber Company for achieving top log quality and production for 2004.

Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) has received the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He received this award for his strong support of a pro-economic growth legislative agenda.

The City of Spokane’s Spokane HotZone project has been awarded the Wireless Excellence runner-up award by the Wireless Innovation Contest 2005.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network has recognized Cydney Stedman-Brown for leading production in long term care with the National Sales Achievement Award.

Kent Lupton has received the National Sales Achievement Award from Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for his work in investment products and services.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network has qualified Pete Elliot and Kent Lupton for its Million Dollar Round Table.

The U.S. Department of Energy has given Avista Advantage its Excellence in Energy Management Award.

The Mock Trial Team 616 from Gonzaga University won the All-American Attorney Award at the Silver National Intercollegiate Mock Trial Championship. Team members included: Cory Campbell, Patrick Gunning, Claire Hood, Miranda Leskinen, Shanea McCanna, Daisy Tran, Sarah Valenti and Greg Wilson. The team’s coaches are Georgie Ann Weatherby and Jennifer Underwood.
