New York Nearly one in three New York City public school students have suffered from a mental disorder as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, according to a new study.

But children who lived or went to school nearer to Ground Zero weren’t necessarily those most troubled by the horrific events.

Witnessing the World Trade Center crumble or being evacuated didn’t affect kids as deeply as the fear of losing family members, the study found. One likely reason for the findings was that millions of dollars were spent on mental health services in lower Manhattan, according to researchers at Columbia University.

Authorities are looking at the possibility of suing Wilbanks for the $40,000 to $60,000 it cost to search for her. The prosecutor said Monday he’ll conduct a probe before deciding whether to charge Wilbanks for falsely claiming she was kidnapped.

Aging nurse says Hitler died a ‘weakened’ man

London Adolf Hitler was a shaking, weakened man who “sank into himself” in the final days before his suicide on April 30, 1945, according to the first published account of his nurse who worked in his bunker as Allied forces closed in on Berlin.

Erna Flegel, 93, living in a nursing home in northern Germany, told media Monday that Hitler “had a lot of gray hair and gave the impression of a man at least 15 to 20 years older” toward the end of his life.

With defeat imminent, Hitler, 56, and his mistress, Eva Braun, whom he married shortly before his death, committed suicide in his underground bunker in Berlin.
