Sounds like Jane must have landed a few J.Lo-blows

UNLIKE HER CHARACTER in the new movie “Monster-in-Law,” Jennifer Lopez says she’s never had any trouble with the mothers of the men she’s dated.

“I’ve never really had any trouble with boyfriends’ moms or any moms of anybody that I’ve been with,” Lopez says. “So, I’ve been lucky. They like me.”

After much-publicized romances with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Ben Affleck, Lopez wed Marc Anthony last June. She was previously married to Cris Judd and Ojani Noa.

In “Monster-in-Law,” Jane Fonda plays a mother trying to sabotage the upcoming nuptials of her son (Michael Vartan) and Lopez.

Lopez and Fonda’s characters literally come to blows.

“We wound up slapping each other a lot,” Lopez told reporters. “I did get her bad in the eye. … She said with my ring. I don’t even remember doing it to her. … That happened after doing it a few times. …

“But my face was swollen, you could see it, I think, in one of the takes.”

A live batch-sort operation

In an unprecedented move, Charlie O’Connell will bestow his final rose live on Monday’s season finale of “The Bachelor.”

In the past six finales of the reality dating show – including three “Bachelorette” editions – the romance-seeker has picked or proposed to his or her choice in a taped ceremony, and the selection has been kept hush-hush for months.

“I feel ready for this whole thing to be over,” O’Connell said, adding: “I’m looking forward to having a girlfriend.”

They’re both having legal affairs

Cameron Diaz is suing the British tabloid newspaper The Sun over a story suggesting she was having an affair with a married man.

On Thursday, The Sun carried a story claiming Diaz, who is dating singer Justin Timberlake, had a close relationship with a married television producer.

The same law firm also is representing Timberlake in a lawsuit against the News of the World tabloid over a story claiming he had cheated on Diaz.

Just getting to the church on time

“Rush Hour” movie star Chris Tucker has pleaded guilty to speeding and eluding police during a brief car chase last month and paid a $6,999 fine.

Tucker was driving a Bentley at 109 mph on Georgia’s Interstate 20 when state patrol troopers followed him for 10 miles, attempting to pull him over.

He told authorities he didn’t hear their sirens because he was on his way to church.

Not-so-positively Dylan Drive

The street where Bob Dylan grew up is being given the name “Dylan Drive” in his honor.

It’s the first time the city of Hibbing, where Dylan attended high school, is doing something permanent to honor him. The city had issued a proclamation on May 24, 2001, Dylan’s 60th birthday.

The new street sign is honorary only, meaning 7th Avenue will remain the official name of the street and residents won’t have to change their addresses.
