Fire District 2 (Fairfield) – Commissioners discussed selling a 1970 pumper truck on eBay. They also discussed purchasing a generator for the fire station with a grant from DNR. The generator would be used for lights and heat if the station is used as an emergency shelter. Six volunteers are also completing their EMT training. (Source: Chief Adam Brannon)

Edgecliff SCOPE – The meeting including a job fair to match volunteers with various tasks the SCOPE station does. Three signed up for some activities. Volunteer Ed Kirsch was given a pin in recognition of the 3,000 volunteer hours he has logged with Edgecliff SCOPE. Members also discussed collecting recipes to be put in a community cookbook to sell to raise money. (Source: President Edna Ferguson)

Fire District 13 (Newman Lake) – The commissioners asked the chief to formulate a standard operating procedure for water rescues. The matter will be discussed further at the next meeting on May 25. They also discussed having a trailer mounted pump repaired for an estimated $200 or less. (Source: Denise Kolva)
