Golf tourney will benefit YWCA of Spokane

The second annual “In Spokane, Fore Spokane” golf tournament and silent auction, sponsored by the YWCA of Spokane, the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Northern Quest Casino, will be June 9.

Shotgun start begins at noon at MeadowWood Golf Course, Liberty Lake.

Auction items will be up for bid throughout the tournament and include stay-and-play golf packages, gift baskets, sport memorabilia, golf equipment and gift certificates.

Admission is $200 per player, and sponsorships are available. Call Jennifer Simmons at (509) 847-2108 for more information.

All proceeds will benefit the YWCA in Spokane.

‘Snoopy!!!’ for pets

Catch the Christian Youth Theater’s production of “Snoopy!!!” and help animals at Spokanimal C.A.R.E. in need of a home.

Performances will be held in the auditorium of First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Saturday and next Sunday at 3 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and under.

Meal and an auction for seniors

The third annual Wild Game Feed and Silent Auction will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Blanchard (Idaho) Inn Restaurant, Highway 41.

Dine on pork roast, wild game, salads and desserts and enjoy a beverage while supporting Blanchard Area Seniors InCorporated.

Auctions items include sporting and hunting goods and Northwestern and wildlife decorations.
