Fund drive to aid Moran Library

The Spokesman-Review

The Friends of the Moran Prairie Library are raising funds to purchase a multimedia presentation system for the new Moran Prairie Library, under construction in the 6000 block of South Regal Street.

The 8,200-square-foot branch is scheduled to open in January and will be triple the size of the existing branch in the Cedar Canyon Village shopping center.

Once completed, the meeting room will be able to host movies, slide presentations, live music or lectures, and computer presentations for up to 100 people – all available to the public.

The library group is about $4,000 short of its goal of $10,000 and is holding its annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4 at 3209 E. 57th Ave.

Donations of books, tapes, CDs, software or money will be accepted. Contact the Moran Prairie Library for more information or leave a message at 443-6663.
