C’mon, K-Fed, get a life/ Bro, it’s all about your wife

The Spokesman-Review

THE DAWN OF Kevin Federline‘s hip-hop career has begun – though it remains to be seen if it will last past breakfast.

A track by Britney Spears‘ former backup dancer husband was posted on the Internet by Disco D, the producer of his upcoming album, “The Truth.”

Though the song has since been taken off Disco D’s Web site, it has popped up elsewhere.

“Back then, they called me K-Fed, but you can call me Daddy instead,” Federline intones in the chorus of “Y’all Ain’t Ready.” (He and Spears wed last year and had a son in September.)

“People always asking me when’s the release date / Well, baby you can wait and see, until then all these Pavarottis followin’ me,” he continues, nicknaming paparazzi after the Italian opera singer.

Already garnering comparisons to Vanilla Ice, Federline’s album, due to drop next year, appears destined for late-night punch lines.

The 27-year-old does anticipate some backlash from his musical pursuits: “My prediction is that y’all gonna hate on the style we create, straight 2008.”

The baby beat

Speaking of daddies, “Big” Kenny Alphin, of the rap-rock country music duo Big & Rich, and his wife are the parents of a baby boy.

Lincoln W.H. Alphin was born Wednesday morning to Alphin and his wife, Christiev.

And Australian actor Heath Ledger and his fiancée, Michelle Williams, welcomed a baby girl, Matilda, last week, People magazine reports – although Ledger’s publicist refused to comment.

Ledger, 26, and Williams, 25, play husband and wife in the new Ang Lee film, “Brokeback Mountain,” which is set for release later this year.

Bush’s bad rap?

The latest rap feud is brewing between 50 Cent and Kanye West, over a rather unlikely subject: President Bush.

Mr. Cent says he disagrees with West’s remark during a September telethon for Hurricane Katrina victims that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

“I think people responded to it the best way they can,” 50 says. “What Kanye West was saying, I don’t know where that came from.

“The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen,” he adds. “It was an act of God.”

More citizens of Baba’s fascination

Kanye West, Tom Cruise, Teri Hatcher, Lance Armstrong, Michael Jackson lawyer Tom Mesereau and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are among the names on Barbara Walters‘ list of the most fascinating people of the year.

“Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005” will air Nov. 29 on ABC. The No. 1 most fascinating person of the year will be revealed on the special, now in its 12th year.

How will we survive without him?

“Survivor” host Jeff Probst is poised to step down after next spring’s 12th incarnation of the landmark CBS reality show, according to TVGuide.com.

The Web site also says producer Mark Burnett indicated that the host spot will be filled in the future by a former female “Survivor” survivor.

That apparently won’t be “Survivor: Vanuatu” castaway Julie Berry, whom Probst is dating.
