Boucher leads Hawks to win over Kellogg

Brigitte Boucher finished with 11 points and eight rebounds Tuesday night while leading Lakeland to a 36-28 girls basketball triumph over visiting Kellogg in a non-league season opener for both teams at Rathdrum, Idaho.

Kayla Stiegemeier added six steals and Natalie Nichols six assists for the victorious Hawks.

In other non-league games, junior Mallory Lehman scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half to guide St. Maries (1-0) to a 49-34 win over visiting Kootenai (2-1). Lehman finished 6 for 6 from the floor and added three blocks and three steals. … Senior Wynonna Johnson finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead Lakeside (Plummer) to a 33-25 win at Troy in a season opener for both.
