Grandma’s Attic Holiday Party - Presented by East Central Senior Center Thursday, including Christmas music, holiday treats and optional ornament exchange starting at 1 p.m. Senior Nutrition lunch served at 11:30 a.m. The meal is Italian-style veal with ziti, zucchini, French-style green beans, dinner roll and plums. G is For Gingerbread - Proceeds benefit St. Anne’s Children and Family Center. Companies are invited to form a team that will build and submit one or more gingerbread structures. Entries will be displayed Friday at a silent auction and party held at Coffman Engineers. Entries must be completely edible; the main component must be gingerbread or graham crackers with a maximum square of 18 inches; no height restrictions. Entries must be submitted on a sturdy base and delivered to Coffman’s office on Thursday. The auction will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m., 10 N. Post St., Suite 500. 328-2994.

Knife Sharpening - Just in time for Thanksgiving, Steve from Sharp Stuff will be sharpening knives at Everyday Gourmet, 2829 E. 29th Ave., from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday.
