3:30 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall, briefing on Nov. 28 meeting and approval of routine items.

6 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall, consideration of purchase of Rookery Block buildings for resale to a private developer to prevent them from being demolished. Also, council will consider a 12-year franchise with Comcast Cable, an increase in the tax on city utilities and its 2006 budget.

Spokane Valley

City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. There will be no council meeting.

Spokane County commissioners

County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. There are no county commissioners meetings this week.

Regional Cable Advisory Board

5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday the board will meet in the Spokane City Hall council briefing room.
