The Spokesman-Review

Washington State plays its second men’s basketball game of the season at 7 tonight in the Spokane Arena against BYU.

It’s also the second game of the year for the visiting Cougars, who lost a home game to Loyola Marymount, 83-71, Friday.

WSU will be looking to move to 2-0 after an easy 86-55 win over UC Riverside on Saturday.

The Cougars will be playing shorthanded in the frontcourt as sophomore forward Daven Harmeling sustained a dislocated shoulder in the season-opener and is awaiting further evaluation. Also, sophomore center Robbie Cowgill, out with a broken collarbone, could miss an additional 2-5 weeks before returning.

Tonight’s is the first of two home games WSU is playing in Spokane. The second game will come in the conference opener against Arizona on Dec. 29.
