The Spokesman-Review

EVERETT – Multiple-point performances from Chad Klassen and Joe Logan weren’t enough Wednesday night as the Spokane Chiefs fell to the Everett Silvertips 4-2 in front of 4,169 at the Everett Event Center.

The Silvertips (3-3-0-0) led 3-0 late in the second period, but goals from Klassen and Chris Bruton cut Spokane’s deficit to one.

Torrie Wheat’s second goal of the game, with 13 minutes, 24 seconds left to play, secured the Everett win.

Klassen scored his fourth goal of the season on the power play with 50 seconds left in the second period.

Bruton scored at the 5:09 mark of the final period, on assists from Klassen and Logan.

The Chiefs (2-4-0-0) continue play on Saturday with a 7:05 p.m. road contest against the Tri-City Americans.

Senseman sent to Pats

The Chiefs sent forward Michael Senseman to the Regina Pats in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
