Lind-Ritzville quarterback Travis Dewald ran out of the back of the end zone on fourth down, giving host Reardan a 15-0 lead in the third quarter in the team’s Northeast B-11 football game on Friday night.

Little did Dewald know then that those two points would make all the difference, as the fourth-ranked Indians defeated his ninth-ranked Broncos 22-20.

Nick Ashley ran for 140 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns for Lind-Ritzville (5-3, 4-3) to keep the game close, but quarterback Eric Everett put the game away for Reardan (7-1, 7-1) with a 63-yard touchdown run with 5:27 remaining. Everett finished with 88 yards on 14 carries.

In other NEB-11 action, Logan Deviny ran for 82 yards and three touchdowns and Andy Hodgson ran for 84 yards with two total touchdowns as Liberty defeated Republic 40-6 at Spangle. Hodgson scored on a 19-yard reception and a 5-yard run for the Lancers (6-2, 5-2), who held the Tigers (2-6, 1-6) to 66 rushing yards. … Luke Rodenbough ran for 132 yards and three scores on 20 carries to lead second-ranked Davenport to a 42-0 victory over host Selkirk (3-5, 3-4) at Ione. Kyle Nelson threw for an 18-yard touchdown and ran for a 23-yarder for the Gorillas (8-0, 7-0), who clinched a share of the NEB-11 title. … Joel Sherwood and Shayne Lewis each scored twice as Wilbur-Creston defeated visiting Springdale 45-14 at Wilbur. Sherwood led the Wildcats with 142 yards on eight carries, while Lewis scored on both his receptions, totaling 61 yards.

Ryan Witters returned from a three-game absence with 244 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns to lead Asotin to a 55-7 rout of visiting Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia in a Southeast B-11 game. Witters, who was out with a high ankle sprain, threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns on 7-of-9 passing and ran for 79 yards and two scores on just three carries for the Panthers (6-2, 3-1), who had 554 total yards and eliminated the Nighthawks (1-7, 1-3) from playoff contention. … Top-ranked DeSales (8-1, 4-0) clinched its 10th straight playoff berth and a share of the league title with a 40-0 victory at Dayton (4-4, 1-3), who is eliminated from playoff contention. … Pomeroy (3-5, 2-2) ended any playoff hopes for visiting Waitsburg (3-4, 1-3) with a 33-0 victory.

J.T. Levenseller threw for 155 yards and five touchdowns to lead Pullman to a 45-14 victory over visiting Chewelah (4-5, 2-4) in Great Northern League play. Mike Thomas ran for 126 yards on seven carries and Levenseller completed 7 of 10 passes for the 2A top-ranked Greyhounds (9-0, 5-0), who will play Colville for the GNL title next week. … John Roberts ran for 131 yards and two key fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead Colville (6-2, 5-0) over visiting Riverside 31-19. Adam Anderson ran for 170 yards and two scores on 31 carries for the Rams (4-4, 1-4). … Brian Huffman ran for four touchdowns and caught a fifth as Deer Park (4-5, 2-3) handed visiting Medical Lake (0-9, 0-5) its 14th straight loss with a 48-17 win.

Chris Davis ran for 24 yards on the first play of overtime and scored a 1-yard touchdown on fourth down to give sixth-ranked Freeman a 14-7 overtime victory over visiting Kettle Falls in Northeast A League play. The Scotties (6-2, 4-1) had just 102 total yards in the game, including Davis’ 60-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Lucas Fox tied the game for Kettle Falls with 2 minutes left on a 1-yard run, and Jason Azzarito almost put the Bulldogs (3-6, 1-4) ahead with 49 seconds left, but his 52-yard field-goal attempt landed about a yard short. … Chance Hargrove threw a pair of touchdown passes as Newport defeated seventh-ranked Colfax (5-3, 3-2) for the second time this season with a 19-6 victory at Newport. Justin Emil ran for 148 yards and iced the win for the Grizzlies (3-5, 2-3) with an 83-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.

Cody Peone ran for 351 yards and six touchdowns and added two scoring receptions to lead Inchelium to a 64-48 victory over visiting Curlew in Northeast B-8 play. Peone scored three straight touchdowns to put the Hornets (3-5, 1-3) back in the game after a 24-0 first-quarter deficit and eventually put the game away with a 64-yard run in the fourth quarter. Bernard Payne and Austin Mannick connected for 468 yards and six touchdowns for the Cougars (2-5, 1-3), including a 99-yarder in the fourth. … Leigh Talkington ran for 179 yards and all three Sprague-Harrington (7-2, 3-1) touchdowns in a 22-6 victory over Almira/Coulee-Hartline (1-7, 0-4) at Sprague.

Joe Campbell ran for 260 yards and five touchdowns on 19 carries as Tri-Cities Prep defeated host Prescott 56-12 in a Southeast B-8 game. Twin brother Matt Campbell also scored for the fourth-ranked Jaguars (8-1, 4-1), who clinch their first playoff berth with a victory over Colton-Pullman Christian next week. Andrew Mings ran for 91 yards for the Tigers (1-7, 1-5). … Kyle Kelly threw for 310 yards and five touchdowns to keep Colton-Pullman Christian in the playoff hunt with a 46-14 victory over Jubilee Academy (4-5, 1-4) at Colton. Kelly also led the Wildcats (7-2, 3-2) with 82 yards and two scores on 10 carries. … Jesse Butcher caught four touchdown passes, returned a kick 80 yards for another score and intercepted a pass to lead St. John-Endicott to a 64-19 victory over host Touchet (1-7, 1-4). SJE (5-3, 3-2) can tie for second place if it defeats Jubilee Academy next week and CPC defeats TCP.

Myles Keogh ran for 177 yards and four touchdowns and Tanner Williams added 131 yards and three scores as Cusick (5-4) defeated host Mansfield (0-7) 50-20 in a non-league B-8 game. … Miles St. John ran for 274 yards and five touchdowns on just 12 carries and Tyrel Sampson returned an interception 40 yards to end the game as second-ranked Columbia (9-0) defeated host Wellpinit (4-5) 70-20. … Hans Guske and Marshall Burke each ran for two first-half touchdowns as top-ranked LaCrosse-Washtucna won its 44th straight game by defeating Garfield-Palouse (1-6) 56-8 at Palouse. Matt Martin ran for a touchdown and caught a second in the third quarter for the Tigercats (9-0).
