Spokane City Council

3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Council Chambers, City Hall, consideration of buying out Spokane Shadow soccer team lease at Albi Stadium at a cost of $450,000.

6 p.m. Tuesday, Council Chambers, City Hall, consideration of new land-use plan and zoning in area around and to the south of 29th Avenue and Grand Boulevard. Also, Councilman Bob Apple is seeking a ballot referendum on domestic-partner benefits ordinance.

Spokane Valley City Council

6 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave. The study session will include a discussion of the 2006 budget.

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, the city will hold an open house on the Valley Corridor project. The public is invited to discuss the revitalization of Sprague Avenue.

Spokane Valley Planning Commission

6 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. At its regular meeting, the commission will discuss the Comprehensive Plan and an amendment to the Planned Unit Development ordinance regarding a requirement that PUDs connect to collector or arterial streets.

Spokane County Commissioners

9:30 a.m. Tuesday, weekly meeting with county CEO, commissioners’ conference room, first floor, Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave. The agenda includes presentations by Superior Court and Building and Planning.

2 p.m. Tuesday, commissioners meeting, commissioners’ hearing room, lower level, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave.

2:30 p.m. Tuesday, briefing on mental health services.

4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Health District lease.

Spokane Regional Transportation Council

1:30 p.m. Thursday, 221 W. First Ave., Suite 310.

Spokane Park Board

1:30 p.m. Thursday, Council Chambers, City Hall. Board will consider approvals to purchase three properties for Conservation Futures.
