While workers frame some of the townhouses, many are already standing at Pheasant Run and Pheasant Cove, a condo/townhouse development going up in Coeur d'Alene.

The northwest corner of Coeur d’Alene no doubt is the fastest growing residential area of the city. And a combination of two higher-density developments called Pheasant Cove and Pheasant Run are a good example.

Located on 10 acres in the northeast corner of Hanley Avenue and Pine Grove west of Highway 95, the developments are under construction with the first units of each complex ready in November. Shawn Harriman of Charter Builders is one of four owners of the development.

Pheasant Cove comprises 66 townhouses in 14 buildings. They range from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet and will cost from about $150,000 to $240,000. Pheasant Run will comprise 96 condominiums from 1,000 to 1,400 square feet, costing from about $160,000 to $240,000. For information, phone 772-8534.

Commercial offices available

Two commercial office buildings at 6240 and 6280 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls are nearing completion. Each building has three 2,300 square feet spaces, and two are available for lease.

Located in Seltice Way Commerce Park, the spaces have designated areas for office and warehouse spaces with garage openings. The buildings are designed with a Northwest-rustic appearance.

Owners are Roger and DeAnn Johnson, who originally are from Bellevue, Wash., and Lewiston, respectively. They came to North Idaho five years ago. The spaces would be ideal for companies that want satellite offices in Post Falls, DeAnn Johnson said. Phone 773-4443.

Realty, title companies expand

With one of its local owners buying the building, Keller Williams Realty is expanding its facility on Northwest Boulevard, Coeur d’Alene. Barbara Sweholsky purchased the 17,300-square-foot building, and the realty offices will expand as current tenants move.

With about 80 agents, Keller Williams will occupy most of the three levels of the building. In Coeur d’Alene since May 2004, the company will add commercial and new-home-development divisions. Mike Jones is the broker, and Karen Pichotta is team leader.

Keller Williams has 480 offices with its headquarters in Austin, Texas. The company started in 1983.

Some of the space K-W will move into is that which will be vacated by Stewart Title when it moves to 2205 Ironwood Parkway at the end of October.

The company will occupy about 6,500 square feet of the three-level building and add considerably to its 10 employees, according to spokesman Kevin Reed.

Stewart Title began in 1893 and now has about 8,000 offices and agencies with its headquarters in Houston. Stacy Stewart (no relation to the name of the company) leads the Coeur d’Alene office.

Tidbits

•Many businesses supporteducation. One example is Gentlemen’s Quarters barbershop in Harbor Plaza on Northwest Boulevard. Owner Gussie O’Connor donates $2 of each NIC employee’s haircut to the college’s scholarship fund.

•Some neighborhoods are becoming littered with “permanent” yard/garage sale signs. The city needs complaints to take the signs down. If a garage/yard sale is perpetual, the owner needs a home-occupied-business permit, but someone must first complain .
