Baxter named to nursing board

North Idaho College Nursing instructor Janine Baxter was recently appointed by Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne to the Idaho State Board of Nursing.

Baxter will serve a four-year term, helping to fulfill the organization’s mission to regulate nursing practice and education to safeguard public health, safety and welfare.

The board meets quarterly in Boise.

Baxter was hired as a part-time clinical instructor at NIC before becoming a full-time nursing instructor in 2001.
