Fashion show, luncheon, sale to aid Goodwill

Join Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest for its 22nd annual fashion show, luncheon and sale on Saturday.

“Fashion in Bloom” will take place in the Grand Pennington Ballroom at the Davenport Hotel.

Doors will open at 11 a.m., and a gourmet lunch will be served at 11:30, followed by a fashion show.

Shop the clothing sale in the Hall of Doges immediately following the luncheon and show.

Tickets are $30 each. Tables of eight are available for $220, or tables of 10 for $270.

Proceeds will benefit Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping persons with disabilities become independent by offering training, employment and educational programs and services.

Nautical event for kids

Attend “A Nautical Night Charity Auction and Dinner” April 14 and support The Children’s Village in Coeur d’Alene.

The evening includes a captain’s select buffet and a chance to win a 1962 Century Custom Thunderbolt boat.

The Children’s Village is a nonprofit group that owns and operates two homes in Coeur d’Alene to serve and house children who have been neglected or abused or are homeless. The organization also meets the needs of children who require specialized educational needs to improve their ability to function at home or school or in the community.

Tickets are $45 each, $85 for a couple, or $400 for a corporate table of eight.

Raffle tickets for a chance to win the boat are $5 each; drawing will be held Aug. 20.

Doors open at 5 p.m. at The Coeur d’Alene Inn, 414 W. Appleway. Event begins at 6.

Food drive

Benefit the Post Falls Food Bank by shopping at Tidyman’s in Post Falls on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition to getting your grocery shopping done for the week, the first Post Falls Community Spring Food Drive offers entertainment, food items, activities, and a chance to fight hunger in the community by donating to the food bank.
