James’ gang turns down Heat

LeBron James scored 47 points and posted his 10th career triple-double, outdoing Dwyane Wade and leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to their seventh straight win, 106-99 over the Miami Heat on Saturday in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers trailed for most of the second half as James and Wade dueled to the delight of the crowd.

Each time the Cavaliers got close, Wade, who finished with 44 points, would hit a 3-pointer or make a highlight-reel drive to the rim for the Heat, who were without Shaquille O’Neal.

James finally put Cleveland up for good, 101-99, on a slam with 1:13 remaining. He finished with 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Bucks 96, Pacers 89: At Milwaukee, Michael Redd scored 20 of his 39 points in the third quarter and the Bucks set an NBA record with only two turnovers in a victory over Indiana.

The previous mark for fewest turnovers in a game was three, set seven different times.

Spurs 106, Wizards 99: At San Antonio, Manu Ginobili scored 16 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and the Spurs came back from a 10-point deficit to beat Washington.

Tony Parker added 24 of his 28 points in the second half for the Spurs.

Bulls 100, Celtics 94: At Chicago, Kirk Hinrich scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half and took a key charge late in the game as the Bulls topped Boston.

With nine games left, the Bulls trail Philadelphia by a game for the Eastern Conference’s eighth and final playoff spot.

Jazz 102, Trail Blazers 89: At Portland, Andrei Kirilenko had 23 points and 13 rebounds to help Utah hand the Trail Blazers their 10th straight loss. It is Portland’s longest skid since losing 12 straight in 1986.
