Bright Spots

Abdullah specializes in sacks

Husain Abdullah took advantage of an aggressive blitz scheme during Saturday’s scrimmage. The junior safety recorded two sacks, coming largely untouched into the backfield. On a third blitz, he stuffed running back DeMaundray Woolridge for a loss.

Still a little hazy

Offense looks for spark

WSU’s offense continues to struggle, although in the second scrimmage of the spring it did manage its first touchdown. But even that tally didn’t come until late in the session on a drive piloted by fourth-string quarterback Cole Morgan. Pass protection has been an issue of concern in both scrimmages.
