Bright Spots

DeMaundray Woolridge, probably the leading candidate to replace Jerome Harrison at running back, delivered the hit of the day on an outside run. Instead of taking the ball out of bounds, he lowered a shoulder and knocked safety Michael Willis out for the rest of practice, setting the woozy defender up for a good deal of razzing from his fellow defensive backs.

Still a little hazy

The Cougars have been forced, for now, to move a pair of offensive linemen with broken hands, Colin Donovan and Tim Freeberg, to the defensive line to try and add numbers at the perilously thin position.
