Police seeking tips in robbery

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

Spokane Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a woman who robbed an elderly Hillyard resident July 25th.

The robber surprised the 87-year-old victim at her home in the area of Queen Avenue and Cook Street, knocking her to the floor and stealing a small amount of money from the victim’s purse.

The robber is described as white, about 5 feet tall, in her late 20s or early 30s. She is heavy-set, with blond hair that was pulled up off her neck, possibly in a ponytail or clip. The woman was wearing tan clothing, possibly a white T-shirt underneath tan-colored bib overall shorts.

The robber fled the home in a newer car described as a light-colored midsize “boxy” sedan with dark-tinted windows.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Secret Witness at (509) 327-5111. Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward but should use a code name or number.
