Kids’ gingerbread event today at Davenport

Today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Christ Kitchen’s Gingerbread Build-off kids’ event will be in the Marie Antoinette Ballroom at the Davenport Hotel.

Kids can decorate their own gingerbread house for $5.

Proceeds will benefit Christ Kitchen, a nonprofit Christian ministry providing work and job training for women in poverty in Spokane.

Torn Retina benefit

A holiday bazaar glassworks sale by Torn Retina Productions will be held at Biscotti Designs, 1507 E. 10th Ave., on Friday and Saturday.

Friday’s sale will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday’s sale will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit Torn Retina Productions, a nonprofit arts organization supporting human services. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Spokesman-Review Christmas Fund.

Fox Theater fundraiser

The Fox Theater is holding a holiday fundraising event.

With a tax-deductible contribution of $500 to $1,500, holiday shoppers can permanently become a part of the theater by having their name engraved on a nameplate affixed to a seat in the orchestra, balcony or loge sections. All contributions will go toward restoring the Fox.
