Hawaii coach Riley Wallace missed two practices recently while undergoing medical tests. The veteran coach lacked energy and experienced shortness of breath a couple of weeks ago. Wallace has had a pair of angioplasty procedures during his tenure at Hawaii, but doctors decided to treat his latest problems by adjusting his medication. … Senior forward Nick Fazekas, already Nevada’s all-time leading scorer, moved into second on the school’s rebounding list. He has 1,018 boards, trailing Pete Padgett’s 1,464. Fazekas is just the fifth WAC player in history to surpass 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. … New Mexico State forward Tyrone Nelson, a first-team All-WAC selection last season, returned Monday after missing eight games with a broken hand. He scored four points and had three rebounds in NMSU’s win over Arkansas Pine Bluff.
