Accident details sought

Spokane police want to hear from people who witnessed a car-pedestrian accident Tuesday at Nevada and Garland.

The victim of that accident – 65-year-old Juan J. Ruiz, of Ford, Wash. – remained in critical condition Thursday night at Deaconess Medical Center. Police said Ruiz was walking west in a crosswalk at 5:12 p.m. when a southbound car driven by 19-year-old Angelique M. Gorrie, of Spokane, hit him.
