Cougars need a change

The Spokesman-Review

2007, another year on the Brink of disaster. Why can’t coach Bill Doba and (quarterbacks coach) Timm Rosenbach understand “Blink” Brink is a lost cause?

Having the most experienced quarterback who can’t finish the season is not the answer. If the Cougars want new direction, why don’t they try throwing down the field, across the middle, the long fly pattern to Michael Bumpus – anything but horizontal?

WSU has been a quarterback school for a long time, but the last three years haven’t been memorable.

If Doba, (offensive coordinator) Mike Levenseller and Rosenbach view the offensive game films and did not have the urge to vomit at their decision and lack of creative offensive schemes, we have a problem. If that’s what we can expect from Coach Dullba, his (offensive) staff and Brink, they need to be replaced now. We need a change.

Until we make a coaching change, WSU will have a recruiting problem.

Other coaches make midseason changes at quarterback. It will be very interesting to see if Coach Levenseller can bring his talented son into the WSU system.
