Bulldogs bully Bobcats
Freshman Heather Bowman scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, leading Gonzaga to an 81-53 non-conference win over visiting Montana State in a women’s basketball game Saturday.
Stephanie Hawk and Simone Santos each added 10 points for the Bulldogs (8-8), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Gonzaga’s steady defense held the Bobcats to 18-of-54 shooting from the field.
The Bulldogs outscored Montana State 30-12 in the final 11 minutes to earn the lopsided win.
Nubia Garcia scored 12 points and Alyssa Nelson added 10 to lead Montana State (5-7).
GU opens West Coast Conference play Friday at Loyola Marymount.

A.J. Zelinski added 16 points for the All-Stars.

Men’s basketball
Nick Livi, Scott Stockwell and Jamaal Rolle scored 14 points apiece, guiding North Idaho to a 76-69 non-conference victory over Highline CC at Coeur d’Alene.
Shawn Henderson added 13 points and four assists for the Cardinals (9-3), who shot 55.6 percent from the floor.
Zach Bruce scored 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds to lead Highline (7-2), which outrebounded North Idaho 31-23.
Matt Mgebroff added 12 points for Highline.
