Huskies face Bruins today

Don Ruiz Tacoma News Tribune

LOS ANGELES – The Washington Huskies have a tall order to fill.

No opponent’s court has been harder for the Huskies than Pauley Pavilion, where Washington plays UCLA today at 2 p.m. Since it opened in 1965, Washington has won three games there and lost 40. One of those wins came last season, and it snapped a string of 19 straight UW losses at Pauley.

There’s no reason to believe today’s game will be any easier than most of those previous 43, as the Bruins are undefeated and ranked No. 1 in both polls.
