Kyle Nelson scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down six rebounds, guiding Davenport to a 54-50 overtime win over Soap Lake in the championship game of the Davenport tournament Saturday afternoon.

Jarod Gunning added 11 points for the Gorillas (4-4), who outscored Soap Lake 8-4 in the overtime period.

Brad Hitzroth tallied 11 points for Soap Lake.

Also at the tournament, Ryan Sparkman scored 21 points and Thomas Jacobs added 13 as Colton beat Columbia-Hunters (0-9) 58-53 in the consolation game. Nick Heitstuman added eight points for the Wildcats (3-5).

Non-league

Greg Giese had 31 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists as Almira/Coulee-Hartline topped visiting Entiat 62-52. Giese also added four steals for the Warriors (2-7), who outscored Entiat 20-2 in the fourth quarter to erase an eight-point, third-quarter deficit. Travis McDonald added 10 points for Almira/Coulee-Hartline. … Austin Mannick scored a game-high 26 points, but it wasn’t enough as Omak beat visiting Curlew 68-64. The Pioneers were 8 of 19 from beyond the arc while the Cougars (6-3) did not make a 3-pointer. … Travis Zimmerman scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, guiding Selkirk to a 59-52 win over visiting Priest River at Ione. Nathan Reed scored 10 points and dished out five assists for the Rangers, who outscored the Spartans 16-10 in the fourth quarter. Micah Smith led Priest River with 12 points.

Kieth Moilanen and Trevor Schwanz scored 13 points apiece, leading Hockinson to a 67-39 rout of Pullman (2-5) at the SunDome Shootout in Yakima. The Hawks outscored the Greyhounds 37-21 in the second half to put the game out of reach. T.C. Peterson scored nine points and Justin Wood added eight to lead Pullman. … Also at the tournament, Nathan Johnson scored 16 points and handed out six assists, but it wasn’t enough as Cashmere beat Colfax 65-54. The Bulldogs couldn’t recover after falling behind 17-10 in the first quarter. Jarod Berarducci added 16 points for Colfax (8-1).

Ray Stout scored 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting, leading Genessee to a 73-44 rout of Rosalia in the championship game of the Rosalia tournament. Genessee shot 62 percent from the field. Drew English scored 15 points to lead the Spartans (4-4). … Also at the tournament, Zech Szilasi scored 20 points and Marc Grubham added 16 as St. Maries (3-4) beat Colfax JV 54-42 in the consolation game.

Chance Ackerman scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds, leading Reardan to a 58-50 win over Chewelah in the championship game of the Reardan tournament. Ryan Schulz added 17 points for the Indians (7-3), who outscored the Cougars 19-5 in the decisive third quarter. Jason Dorow, Ryan Ross and Kyle McNeil scored 10 points apiece to lead Chewelah (5-4). … Also at the tournament, senior Jake Green scored 16 points, leading Wellpinit (5-4) to a 56-55 win over St. John-Endicott (3-5) in the consolation game. With the Redskins trailing 54-55, T.J. Flett made a shot at the buzzer to win it. Justin Taylor scored 22 points to lead the Eagles.

Matt Pleasants scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds as Lake Roosevelt beat Cheney 52-46 in the championship game of the Lake Roosevelt tournament at Coulee Dam. Coby Dick added 17 points for the Raiders. Griffon Jones tallied 18 points to lead the Blackhawks (2-4). … Also at the tournament, Lapwai beat Northport (2-7) 76-32 in the consolation game.

“Brewster outscored Kettle Falls 33-22 in the first half and beat the Bulldogs 67-45 at the Brewster Christmas tournament. Brian Strobel scored a team-high 12 points for Kettle Falls (2-4)

Nate Bligh scored 29 points and Andrew Prohaska added 10 as Coeur d’Alene beat Cheyenne Central (Wyo.) 70-61 at the Gillette Energy Classic basketball tournament in Gillette, Wyo. Leon Duplessis and Austin Heleker each added eight points for the Vikings, who finished in fifth place. Coeur d’Alene (7-2) outscored Cheyenne Central 38-31 in the second half.

Wrestling

Five Omak wrestlers won their weight classes, leading the Pioneers to a first-place finish at the Freeman Invitational. Coeur d’Alene finished third. Andrew Palmer (103) and Jordan Mowry (171) won their weight classes for the Vikings.
