Tyler Marsh was recently commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army after completing the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program and graduating from Whitworth College with a bachelor’s degree. Marsh, a 2001 graduate of Cheney High School, is the son of Howard and Karen Marsh of Cheney.

Army Reserve Pvt. Justin Gearhart recently graduated from the chaplain assistant advanced individual training course at the Chaplain School, Fort Jackson, S.C. Gearhart, the son of Kent and Robin DeWolf of Colbert, is a 2002 graduate of James Logan High School, Union City, Calif.

Army 2nd Lieutenant Matthew Allen recently graduated from the infantry office basic course at Fort Benning, Ga. Allen is a 2001 graduate of Colville High School and a 2005 graduate of Eastern Washington University. He is the son of Ron Allen of Colville.

Army Pfc. Timothy Pillers recently graduated from the power-generation equipment repairer advanced individual training course at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. Pillers, a 2002 graduate of Rogers High School, is the son of Don and Barb Pillers of Spokane.
