Bryan J. Smidt, a member of the Coeur d’Alene First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has accepted a two-year mission to serve in the Ecuador, Guayaquil North Mission.

Smidt, 19, is a 2005 graduate of Lake City High School and completed four years of LDS Seminary. He is currently employed at Great Harvest Bread in Coeur d’Alene. He is the son of Timothy and Janet Smidt of Coeur d’Alene.
