Young’s career night leads USC
Nick Young scored a career-high 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, leading USC to an 89-84 victory over Oregon State on Saturday night in the Trojans’ final scheduled home game at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles.
A crowd of 5,350 helped the Trojans bid adieu to the long-decaying facility – including 68-year-old Richard Aller, who worked at the Sports Arena as a peanut vendor from 1959 through 2002. Their new home will be the Galen Center, an on-campus facility that will seat 10,258 – compared with the Sports Arena’s 16,161 capacity.
Sasa Cuic tied a season high with 24 points for Oregon State.

Led by Ivan Radenovic’s 14 points, Arizona used a relentless defense to crush Arizona State in Tucson, Ariz.
The Wildcats harassed the Sun Devils into a season-high 26 turnovers while allowing only 18 field goals.
