The McKassons to perform at Westminster

Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington St., and the St. Andrew’s Society of Spokane are presenting The McKassons in concert Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Ryan and Cali McKasson, a fiddler and a pianist, will perform Celtic music from their debut album, “Tall Tales.”

Both graduates of the Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School, the two have performed all over the country, and Ryan was the youngest winner of the National Scottish Fiddle Open Championship, held in Loon Mountain, N.H.

Tickets are $10.

Special services and fellowship

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St., is presenting an ecumenical Taize prayer in conjunction with St. Ann’s Catholic Parish Sunday at 7 p.m.

The theme of this service is Epiphany, the season of light and will include time for silent reflection, Scripture readings, prayers, candlelight and simple chants.

Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2733 W. Northwest Blvd., is presenting a fellowship Sunday this week.

Both Sunday school and Bible class will be at 9 a.m., and there will be only one service at 10:30.

Christ’s Church of Mt. Spokane, 4526 E. Green Bluff Road, is presenting a “Singspiration” service Sunday at 6 p.m.

The service will include singing, scripture reading and praying.

Documentary screening

The Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., is presenting the documentary “The Indigo Evolution,” Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m.

The film will feature the writings, art and music of “indigo children” and will discuss whether the human race has evolved into a higher plane, or if these are really just children with neurological disorders.

The movie will include interviews with Gary Zukav, Neale Donald Walsch, Doreen Virtue and others.

Admission is $10.

Prism Weight Loss

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2715 S. Ray St., is offering an ongoing program, Prism Weight Loss, Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

The program is Christian based and combines good eating habits and exercise, as well as shifting one’s attitude to that of an emotionally whole being.
