Summer Concert Series – The first concert in the series features Sidetrack performing family/friendly country and folk, 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Coeur d’Alene Park, Second and Chestnut in Browne’s Addition. Families may bring a blanket and picnic but no alcohol is allowed. The concerts will continue each Thursday through Aug. 31; free; (509) 747-2853.

Choir concert – The Spokane Area Children’s Chorus Ensemble Choir will host the Ragazzi Boys Chorus of San Francisco in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1601 S. Sullivan Road. The Ragazzi Boys Chorus includes more than 60 boys ages 10-18; (509) 624-7992.

Water safety – Learn about safe areas to swim, personal flotation devices, hypothermia, water laws and using a canoe or kayak, 6:30-7:45 p.m. July 12 at Mountain Gear, 2002 N. Division. The class is free, but registration is required; 625-6200.
