Gottfried times two

OK, please fill us in. (The July 4) Sports section contains two separate references, both in John Blanchette’s and Norman Chad’s articles, to Gilbert Gottfried. I rarely glance at Sports, but this glared out at me, and being unexposed to same, I now feel I’m missing something. Is it a conspiracy hatched by paunchy, balding, middle-aged white guys to make us rotund, middle-aged, whisker-growing white females feel excluded? And why is poor Gilbert being singled out? Who’s next? I’m locking the door and shutting the blinds.
