Padres 6, Giants 5 (12): At San Francisco, Mike Cameron tripled to lead off the 12th inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Eric Young as San Diego beat the Giants.

Marlins 5, Pirates 4: At Miami, Dan Uggla homered in the third inning, then singled home the winning run, helping Florida beat Pittsburgh.

Astros 8, Mets 4: At New York, pitcher Roy Oswalt touched off a four-run Houston rally with his second hit of the game and Houston beat the Mets.

Rockies 9, Diamondbacks 7: At Phoenix, Garrett Atkins hit a two-run double with one out in the ninth inning to help Colorado beat Arizona.

Brewers 4, Reds 1: At Cincinnati, Tomo Ohka allowed three hits in eight innings and struggling Milwaukee beat the Reds.

Braves 5, Phillies 1: At Philadelphia, Edgar Renteria homered and doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning to lift Atlanta over the Phillies.

Nationals 7, Cubs 1: At Washington, Tony Armas Jr. pitched seven strong innings, Alfonso Soriano and Ryan Church homered, and the Nationals beat Chicago.

Cardinals 6, Dodgers 1: At Los Angeles, Jason Marquis became the N.L.’s first 12-game winner this season, Juan Encarnacion homered twice and St. Louis beat the Dodgers.
