When you go, we want to know

The Spokesman-Review

Hey Valley Voice readers, if you’re hitting the road this summer, we would love to include an account of your trip in a new feature, “Tales from the Trail: The Best of Summer Vacation.”

We want to know where you found the best cinnamon roll, best steak and the cheapest gas price. Tell us about the nicest campground, hotel or hostel at which you stayed and which stop along the way had the friendliest people.

As well, we’d like a warning about the worst restaurant, gas station restroom, or surliest waitress you encountered.

You don’t have to write like Jules Verne to participate. You don’t have to travel around the world in 80 days or journey 20,000 leagues under the sea. For our purposes, a three-day trip out of town is just as good as a flight across the country.

What you need to do is contact staff writer Tom Lutey before you leave. He’ll give you a questionnaire to fill out about your trip and a disposable camera for pictures. We’ll publish your vacation report and your pictures in the Valley Voice after you return. Lutey can be contacted by phone at 927-2179 or at toml@spokesman.com
