Rockies 9, Padres 8 (10): At Denver, Jamey Carroll doubled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th after Yorvit Torrealba had tied the game with a two-out homer off Trevor Hoffman an inning earlier, and Colorado Rockies beat San Diego.

Astros 8, Reds 5: At Houston, Lance Berkman homered twice and Craig Biggio added a solo shot as the Astros rallied from a 5-1 deficit to beat Cincinnati.

Braves 6, Marlins 5: At Atlanta, Andruw Jones led off the eighth inning with a tying homer and Adam LaRoche followed with a two-out shot that led the Braves past Florida. Jones came into the night tied for N.L. lead with 88 RBIs.

Phillies 6, Diamondbacks 4: At Philadelphia, Chase Utley hit a three-run homer and David Dellucci hit a solo shot to help the Phillies beat Arizona.

Cubs 5, Cardinals 4: At Chicago, Todd Walker and Michael Barrett hit back-to-back homers, the fourth time Chicago did it this week, and the Cubs beat St. Louis for the seventh time in 10 games this season.

Nationals 4, Giants 3: At Washington, Austin Kearns’ sacrifice fly with the bases loaded off San Francisco closer Armando Benitez capped a two-run rally in the ninth inning, lifting the Nationals past the Giants.
