Once her divorce from Paul McCartney is finalized, Heather Mills McCartney says that she has some other legal business to tend to – suing newspapers that have been digging into her past.

She and the ex-Beatle announced May 17 that they had “decided to go our separate ways” after four years of marriage.

Since then, Mills McCartney has been the subject of several unflattering newspaper articles that included pictures of her in naked or semi-naked poses.

London’s News of the World has written lurid stories that she spent nights with wealthy men when she was in her 20s.

“Heather is very distressed by this article,” her lawyers said Tuesday. “She will defer issue of legal proceedings until the arrangements in relation to the divorce are concluded but intends to sue at that stage all parties (including individuals) who are intent on damaging her reputation.”

‘Times’ it is a-comin’

Bob Dylan will release his 44th album, “Modern Times,” on Aug. 29.

Columbia Records calls it the third in a trilogy that includes 1997’s “Time Out of Mind” and 2001’s “Love and Theft,” both of which were Grammy winners.

Trying to regain ‘Control’

Janet Jackson‘s new single, “Call Me,” featuring rapper Nelly, hits the radio Monday.

It’s the lead single from her new album, “20 Years Old,” which is due Sept. 26. The new CD will mark the anniversary of her star-making album, “Control,” released in 1986.

Have gun? Look out!

Rapper Eminem reportedly will star in an updated movie version of the old CBS TV series “Have Gun – Will Travel,” his first feature film since his semi-autobiographical hit “8 Mile.”

The series, which ran on CBS from 1957-63, starred Richard Boone as the distinctively black-clad Paladin, an educated gunslinger with a degree from West Point who operated as a highly paid gun for hire.

That’s one tenacious da-da

Actor/musician Jack Black and his wife are the parents of their first child, a boy.

“I’m going to be the best daddy on the planet, and I’m going to enter the best daddy competition. And I’m going to win it,” says Black, whose film “Nacho Libre” opens Friday.

In addition to his movie career, Black has a band called Tenacious D.

Her career’s already cooking

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s baby has made what may be her first fashion statement, appearing on the cover of People magazine in a $42 T-shirt sold by a Denver boutique – and triggering a tidal wave of orders.

The shirt worn by Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt says “The Pots & Pans Band” in Gothic letters and features a skull and crossbones, an eagle and some pots and pans.
