Column adds wine advice

By The Spokesman-Review

We’re welcoming a new voice to The Spokesman-Review’s Grapevine column.

Starting next month, wine writer Paul Gregutt will lend his expertise on Northwest wines in this monthly column.

For the past two decades, Gregutt has covered Northwest wines for The Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Decanter, Sunset and other publications. He is a contributor to Tom Stevenson’s annual “Wine Report” books, and the author of “Northwest Wines,” which Robert Parker praised as “the most authoritative and consumer-oriented guide to the wines of Washington, Oregon and Idaho.” He’s also working on a new book on Washington wines that will be published by the University of California Press.

Gregutt writes newspaper columns for several Washington newspapers including a weekly column in the Seattle Times.

His column will appear in The Spokesman-Review the last Wednesday of each month.
