A dismal year for Chiefs

The Spokesman-Review

It’s looking a lot like there will be no playoff hockey again this year for Chiefs fans.

How many years now has it been? I forget.

I can’t recall the name of the guy who wrote a letter to the sports editor a few weeks back, but it was shortly after the Chiefs’ last big trade. He said the team would basically be driven into the ground. Talk about accurate prediction.

The Chiefs used to be the pre-eminent franchise for all of junior hockey in Canada and the United States, but the past what, several seasons, it seems like they have become more of a doormat for teams coming into and leaving the Arena. This is a shame.

Just my opinion, this entire franchise needs a major, major shakeup from the bottom up. There has been lots of talk this season, but little action.

How many more seasons must Chiefs fans settle for the status quo?

Oh well, at least we have the Zags to cheer on.
