There’s still room to enroll in several community education classes focused on digital photography, home buying, pilates and yoga offered in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene this spring through the North Idaho College Workforce Training Center.

•”Beginning Digital Darkroom” will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 29 and April 3 and 5 at the NIC Workforce Training Center in Post Falls. The course teaches students how to use a digital camera and home computer to crop, resize, sharpen, create special effects and salvage old photographs with a scanner. The fee is $35.

•”Finally Home,” a first-time homebuyer education course, will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon today and next Saturday at the main NIC campus in Coeur d’Alene. The course addresses the needs of first-time homebuyers, such as how to increase borrowing power and decide home preferences, as well as teaching home-search techniques, purchase negotiations and home maintenance. The fee is $10, which includes a recently updated textbook.

•”PiYo,” pilates and yoga, will be offered from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through April 25 at World Gym, 927 Polston Ave., Post Falls. The class offers techniques used to increase strength and flexibility while allowing students to stretch the mind and body with a blend of pilates and yoga. Options will be given to accommodate all fitness levels. The course fee is $29.

Space is limited in each course and all students must be at least 16 years old.
