Meal to honor St. Patrick’s day

There’s no going halfway when the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection decides to host a dinner in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. You’ll practically be able to smell the peat in the air over a dinner of corned beef, cabbage, colcannon, soda bread and carrot salad.

The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. next Saturday, preceded by a social hour at 5:30. The dinner is by donation and the public is welcome. The church is at 15319 E. Eighth Ave. Call 926-6450 for more information.

The Whitworth Choir will perform in concert during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road. The public is welcome.
