Warriors cool off Heat

Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

The Miami Heat were on a roll until they ran into Jason Richardson.

The Golden State guard scored a career-high 44 points to win a shootout with Dwyane Wade and lead the Warriors to a 111-106 victory Friday in Miami, snapping the Heat’s 10-game winning streak.

Wade scored a season-high 42, making it the first time in Heat history a player for both teams scored at least 40 points.

Lakers 100, Spurs 92: Kobe Bryant scored 29 points, and Los Angeles limited Tim Duncan to only 12 points in a win in San Antonio.

Bryant broke open the game by hitting five straight shots over a span of 6:36 in the second quarter. That erased a four-point Spurs lead and helped Los Angeles to a 51-37 halftime advantage.

Magic 102, Cavaliers 73: Carlos Arroyo came off the bench to score 17 and hand out seven assists as Orlando routed visiting Cleveland.

LeBron James had 25 points and seven rebounds, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Flip Murray each scored 13 for Cleveland.

Nuggets 108, Raptors 97: Andre Miller scored 23 points, and Denver overcame the loss of Carmelo Anthony to win at Toronto.

Anthony didn’t return after leaving the game in the third quarter with a strained left hamstring.

Pacers 92, Hornets 90: Peja Stojakovic scored 26 points and hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 1:39 to play to lift Indiana over New Orleans in Oklahoma City.

Bucks 92, Celtics 86: Michael Redd scored 26 points, including the go-ahead basket midway through the fourth quarter, and Milwaukee won at Boston to snap a three-game losing streak.

Clippers 107, Bulls 96: Sam Cassell scored 32 points and Elton Brand had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead Los Angeles to a win at Chicago.

Kings 105, Grizzlies 93: Ron Artest scored 19 of his season-high 30 points in a gritty fourth-quarter performance, and the surging Kings got back to .500 for the first time since late November with a victory over Memphis in Sacramento, Calif.

Sacramento won for the 11th straight time at home.
