Iverson could miss four games with bum ankle

Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

Allen Iverson’s injured right foot will keep him out of the Philadelphia 76ers’ lineup for at least one game and possibly three more.

An MRI on Iverson’s ankle and foot Monday revealed the foot was bruised and sprained. He won’t play against the Toronto Raptors tonight and is doubtful for the Sixers’ upcoming three-game road trip.

Iverson, the NBA’s second-leading scorer with an average of 33.2 points per game, was hurt near the end of the first half of Philadelphia’s victory at Memphis on Sunday.

He didn’t return after being carried to the locker room and left the arena wearing a walking boot.
