The city of Coeur d’Alene has issued a $39 million building permit for a 30-unit condo project overlooking the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course.

Hagadone Corp. is developing The Terraces, which will come with two memberships to the golf course and a boat slip on a private marina. The project is slated to open in 2007.

The Terraces is the first portion of Hagadone’s five-phase plan to put condos, apartments and townhouses along Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Mining shares sale to finance projects

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. will sell 22 million shares of new stock to finance two mining projects, company officials said Tuesday.

The money will be used for construction of the San Bartolome silver mine in Bolivia and the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, potential acquisition of new properties, and general corporate purposes. The stock issuance falls under an existing shelf registration on file with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

State firm enters deal with Purdue

A Washington state company has received a license from Purdue University to use technology that can produce the natural sweetener xylitol more cheaply than current processes.

Dynamic Food Ingredients Corp. of Kirkland, Wash., had won an exclusive worldwide license for the technology created by Purdue scientists.
